Rabat Stencil Makeover Transforms this Dining Room Into Something Delicious!
Good Morning, my stencil savvy home decorators. Remember that feeling of joy and excitement when you purchased your new home? It’s like you’re floating on cloud nine with the thought of actually accomplishing all those decorating ideas you’ve been pinning. Sometimes there’s nothing worse than the pea green bathroom or peach bedroom from the previous owners. It feels really good when you can make the space your own with your own wall colors and home decor style. Our stencil story today is just about that! Cutting Edge Stencils has a dazzling dining room makeover project that will have you wishing you were invited over for Sunday dinner!
So please put the bread basket down for a moment and let’s hop on over to this makeover project that was done by Darby, an amazing DIYer from the blog Life with the Hawleys. Darby had a bright kelly green dining room in her bungalow that the previous owners had designed. While it certainly wasn’t hideous by any stretch (see below), it simply wasn’t her style. She longed to make the space her own. Her goal was to create a sophisticated, serene retreat for the family. Darby’s living room and dining room are pretty open so the colors need to coordinate for both. She decided to create a stunning focal wall in her dining room using the Rabat Allover Pattern.
On her blog, Darby walks her readers through her stenciling project. While she gives her readers the lesson’s she learned from her stenciling project, she does mention that she didn’t use our Clip-On Stencil Level. Darby says “A level would probably help. I’m stubborn and didn’t use one, but I do recognize that it would have helped a lot.” That’s because its such an amazing tool that easily allows you to position the pattern when you’re stenciling a wall. There’s always next time!
